He writes words that nobody reads, and she takes a lover”. “Nightsongs” is a play about the night in ourselves because everybody dreams for something to happen to us, we all want to be more free, we all want to be loved, but we can hardly change the circumstances and the solution frequently appears to be to accept all this with irony towards us and towards the world. It is a challenge for us to make a performance on exactly this contemporary Norwegian play from the high-profile dramatist Ion Fosse who is already translated to more than 30 languages and is performed with great success in Europe and the United States. We want to reveal in an extraordinary way the relationships between a woman and two men in the context of a young family in a non-standard theatre environment.
